StarBar terms of service
Effective June 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of StarBar, a native macOS menu
bar app for Starlink telemetry, and the website at starbar.app.
Use of the app
StarBar is provided as a diagnostic utility. You are responsible for how you use the information it displays and for maintaining your Starlink hardware, router, Mac, and network configuration.
No affiliation
StarBar is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Starlink, SpaceX, or Apple.
Telemetry accuracy
StarBar displays information from local telemetry endpoints and macOS network context. Those sources can be incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or different across Starlink hardware and software versions. StarBar should not be used as the only source for safety-critical decisions.
Acceptable use
Do not use StarBar to interfere with networks you do not own or administer. Do not reverse engineer, redistribute, or modify the app except where permitted by law or by a separate license.
Beta software
If you use a beta build, you understand that features may change, break, or disappear. Beta builds may contain bugs and should be used with appropriate caution.
Limitation of liability
StarBar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app or website.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
